Some Pig empowers changemakers
of brands, businesses and institutions with a deep and vital understanding
of people.
Leading with curiosity, we explore how individuals and groups of people
navigate and find their unique place in the world around them. By bringing to light the universal truths that unite people, Some Pig provides insights that challenge existing perceptions to help leaders and teams gain the perspective necessary to do their best work.
We unearth powerful insights that are the foundation for thought leadership, strategic direction and design thinking.
Kathryn Johnson founded Some Pig to help leaders of brands, companies, businesses and institutions gain a better understanding of how individuals and groups of people perceive and make decisions about the world around them.
Whether it’s uncovering the deepest values that connect us or the nuances that make us individuals, Kathryn has helped a diverse range of clients take confident steps to create meaningful impact in an ever-changing world. Her most recent work includes understanding the experiences of and highlighting the unique strengths of first-generation Americans, helping America's largest digital and print publisher comprehend how women experienced the pandemic, exploring the subtleties of how tweens shop at Target, examining
what it means to be a “foodie” across the globe for PepsiCo, and creating a meaningful space in a saturated ice cream market for Steve’s Ice Cream.
With a background in design, packaging, innovation and consumer insights, Kathryn has worked in the branding industry for 20 years. She has shared thoughts on brands and consumer behavior with various publications including the American Marketing Association, Advertising Week and AdWeek360 and is a contributing author of Brand Bible: The Complete Guide To Building, Designing and Sustaining Brands (Rockport, 2012). She holds a Masters in Branding from The School of Visual Arts in New York City, a graduate degree in Graphic Design from the Miami Ad School at Portfolio Center in Atlanta, and a BA in French with a minor in Business from Tulane University in New Orleans.
We create engaging interactions with people where they genuinely feel comfortable expressing themselves.
